Making cute Christmas cookies for my daughter's class

I was really surprised when I became a parent that so much of those skills are just cooking for other people's children. But it also gives you somewhat of an excuse to cook and bake some really great things. The holidays are especially the case for that between all of our church activities, my kids' Christmas party and their class holiday parties at school. I've been baking so many cookies lately, but I don't really mind it. I love baking cookies and also eating them too!

But I thought that maybe I could find a new recipe or two to try out for this holiday season. It never hurts to have a few extra recipes on hand. While I was online looking up some recipes, I came across some info on miracle ear. I forwarded it to my husband and convinced him to go and get fitted with some hearing aids.

I found this one really cute cute Christmas cookie that I really took over the top with some holiday cookie cutters. Plus, some colorful icing never hurts, either!

Grease without John Travolta

I've always thought that Grease is never the same without John Travolta. That's why I basically just gave up on the second movie after I found out that it wasn't going to have him in it. There just aren't any good T-birds unless he's a part of the group! But as far as a play version of Grease goes, I'm find to watch one without John Travolta because I know that I have no other option!

I got to thinking about that not too long ago when my granddaughter told me that she was going to be in a production of Grease. While I was online looking up more information for it, I ran across a lot of hearing aids info. They're something I've considered getting for quite some time anyway, so i looked into them more and got fitted with some.

She did such a great job in her Grease play and I was so surprised that she was able to memorize all of those parts. Hopefully I'll get to see her in some more plays in the future.

beer on sunday

We went to watch the game at our neighbor’s house because they have a Charter NFL Package. It was my week to bring the booze. Of course the game was on a Sunday and I forgot to pick up the beer on Saturday. Unfortunately, I live in a state that bans alcohol sales on Sunday. I realized that I had forgotten the icy beverages when we wear eating Sunday brunch. I freaked and new that everyone would be disappointed. The boys especially look forward to cracking open a cold one, eating pizza, and watching the game. As soon as we got home, I got started on the beer hunt. I called my parents, friends, and even co-workers that lived nearby. I explained the situation and asked if I could buy any beer than they had in their fridges. I even offered to replace and deliver what I had borrowed the next day. I was surprised what a stockpile I was able to pull out of the woodwork. Everyone commented on how I took the time to introduce new types of brews and introduced variety—if they only knew!

Our first contest has ended. Homebizprincess is the January Blog of the month!

The title of her blog Entry was Home Biz or Home Job, that is the question. My question was what's the difference? After reading I now know. She explains a little about both and how to get started. It's defiantly worth reading if you looking to get started working from home.

Hey Everyone,

It seams that some of you were interested in the Blog Of The Month contest. We haven't received any valid entries, as of yet. I'm guessing some of you may not know HTML, so i have decided to show you how, so we can all participate the contest.
